Pre-Registration Pharmacists
The beginning of a professional relationship
Over the years we have found that many of our pre-registration trainees have stayed with us as professional pharmacists. We think that speaks volumes about our Pre-Reg programme and comprehensive training.
The programme normally takes 1 year to complete and it is open to students in the UK and Europe. Applicants are usually in the 3rd year of a 4-year MPharm pharmacy degree, at a recognised UK school of pharmacy, or in the process of completing the Overseas Pharmacist Assessment Programme, accredited by a recognised UK school of pharmacy.
An extra dose of training
We follow the guidelines set by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). We also add to that the renowned Tesco support, encouragement and resources.
You can expect:
- Practical pharmacy experience.
- Fully trained tutors and support staff.
- In store and off site training.
- Dedicated study time each week.
- First aid training.
- A mock exam and sample exam papers.
- Four days’ paid study leave before your exam.
You will be assessed during the course of your training by your tutor. They will work with you to help you build on the skills you acquired during your degree, develop to a level necessary to meet the exact performance standards required and prepare you for the registration examination.
